Gravity Racer
A component-based variable font with upright and cursive construction styles, each built on three axes — Size, Rotate, and Kaleidoscope — to explore motion, modularity, and generative form-making. The Size axis increases apparent weight, while Rotate cycles letterforms through a full 360° rotation, enabling continuous kinetic transitions. Kaleidoscope progressively fractures the corners of the letterforms by introducing triangular shapes, creating progressive and geometrically patterned, radial structures. Both the Rotate and Kaleidoscope axes are achieved through custom scripting, allowing circular and animated effects to emerge within the linear framework of traditional variable-font interpolation. In addition to its motion-oriented variable font, it includes twelve static instances in both upright and cursive styles, designed for chromatic layering.
